Karen S. Konnovitch, age 61, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 26th, 2025, with loving company at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA, and will be remembered most for her mightiness and altruistic efforts.
She was born on September 11, 1963, in Weirton, WV, to Violet JoAnne Brandon-Davis and Gary Davis. She was a 1982 graduate of Weir High School. She married Jeffrey S. Konnovitch on September 1st, 1990, in New Cumberland, WV. She worked various retail jobs before giving birth to her miracle baby and then became a full-time stay-at-home mom, displaying extraordinary passion for her boys.
Karen truly lived her fullest life through simple pleasures: hosting her dear friends and loud family, camping and cooking out, anything with sunshine, drinking a cold one and her machines, sitting by a bonfire and her country music, and being proud of her boys. Karen was a selfless woman that exuded strength, love, benevolence, and light wherever she went and in whatever she did.
Karen was preceded in death by her grandma Emma Brandon and parents JoAnne and Gary Davis, her brother in laws Darryl Tomes and Bob Littleton, and her best friend Sherry Chapman.
Karen is survived and will be remembered with love by her high school sweetheart, husband Jeffrey S. Konnovitch; sons Jeffrey T. and Brandon Konnovitch; sisters Barbara Littleton, Terry (Keith) Smith, Jody Davis, and Sherry Tomes; brothers Gary (Georgeanna) Davis and John (Lynette) Davis; and nieces & nephews, great nieces & great nephews, cousins and friends.
Karen’s request for cremation will be honored.
She will be cremated at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home Crematory, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV.
Family, friends, and those whose lives were touched by Karen and her beauty inside and out will be notified with details in terms of a celebration of life to honor Karen’s wishes to reminisce, grieve, and support each other once the family is prepared.

My deepest sympathy to the whole family. We are so very sorry for your loss, and a life that ended way too early. She had such a tough life, but persevered through it all. When Karen walked in a room – it lit up! So sorry for your loss
Karen was always so kind n sweet to me. We talked on the phone n text into the night. It was fun n she was funny. We talked about many things. The distance between us kept us apart but when we got together we had lots of fun. Not enough times. Our trip to Put in Bay was memorable. My heart goes out to Jeff, their sons, and her sisters during this most sad n difficult time. Prayers for comfort, peace and strength. Love
