Dear Mrs. Myers and family,
So sorry to learn of Dr. Myers passing. He was always a special person to me. Always so kind and willing to help me in any way possible. I called on him many times in the Office of Admission at Bethany College, and I enjoyed listening to him as much as the Prospective Student did. He spoke with so much pride of you Mrs. Myers as well has his children and grandchildren.
Although I cannot be there, since we live in NC but please know my heart and love goes out to all of you. Knowing how much a man of God he was, we know where he is now, looking down on all of us and waiting to see all of us again.
Love to all of you…
Sincerely,
Jackie Andrews and family
Dear Vonnie and family…
Words cannot express my sadness at your loss. Bob was a voice of reason. Humor, and compassion in a place where all three was often lacking. I value his friendship, his counsel, and his support so very much. I always looked forward to seeing him, and having a great visit. Please know that prayers ascend from Syracuse and I will be with you in spirit in the days to come.
Love,
David
Truly one of the good guys I have known during my life. He was able to make people feel good about themselves and their work. A gentleman and a scholar.
Sorry for the loss to family, friends, and community.

To Dr. Myers family- May you be comforted with the wealth of love your father and husband had for you! I recall him with fondness as I minored in Philosophy at Bethany. Do any of you recall coming to Boy Scout Camp one summer Saturday in 1969 where we rode on the lake in a motor boat and had a steak cookout? I was your host. Dr. Myers was approachable as a professor and he became a friend. I graduated in 1970 from Bethany, a lifetime ago. I have no doubt as to his eternal resting place.
We mourn with Bod’s family and friends. He was a gifted mentor to generations of students, a loyal churchperson and a truly decent man.
Dr. Myers’ teachings changed the way my husband and I view ourselves, the world here and beyond, and the lives with whom we interact along the way. He is one of the most loved, devoted, and kind hearted educators and friends that I have ever had. My husband, Robert, and I will so dearly miss him, but never forget that awesome smile and the lessons learned. Dr. Ella (Harvey) Bowman, Bethany Class of 1991
Vonnie, Kristina, Kaitlyn – my deepest condolences. I am thinking of you and your family, praying for peace and fond memories to soon replace the pain you feel today. Your husband/father/grandfather is someone very special. Sending my love, Sherri O., Altoona
