Resided in:

Daniel (Buns) Brancazio, 70, of Weirton, died at Trinity West Hospital on Saturday, February 15, 2025.
He was born on March 25, 1954, a son of Dominic and Henrietta “Keta”( Angelo) Brancazio of Weirton.
Daniel, a Catholic by faith, graduated from Weirton Madonna High School in 1972 and attended West Virginia University.
He had a twenty-eight-year career in the gaming industry. His most recent position was Floor Supervisor at River’s Casino in Pittsburgh. He was also part-owner of Club Ledo’s from 1978 to 1987.
Buns traveled extensively for his work during his lifetime, but his favorite destination was at his parents’ kitchen table where he shared his keen wit, played cards, and told tales of his adventures. Buns loved his family. He also loved sharing his “opinion” on sporting events with his cousin and best friend, Tommy Paolo, as well as enjoying his favorite pastime on occasion, the horse races. He also liked movies and could have been a movie critic in another life.
Most of all he was a kind soul with a good heart who cared more about others than himself.
In addition to his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by his brother John (Bear).
Left to cherish his memory with love are his sister Joan (Jim) Dayoub, brothers Stephen (Susan) Brancazio, Thomas “TJ” Brancazio, all of Weirton, Jared (Amy) Brancazio of Ft. Myers, FL., sister-in-law Sara Brancazio of Weirton, nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews, and many friends.
Friends can visit Daniel’s family on Saturday, March 29 from Noon until the time of his 1 pm Memorial Mass at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 140 Walnut Street, Weirton.
Fr. Binu Sebastian will preside.
Daniel’s request for cremation will be honored.
He will be cremated at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home.

Dear Joann and family,
I am so sorry for the loss of Buns, he was just one of the good guys with such a great personality and loved to laugh. He will be sadly missed.
My condolences to Dan’s family upon his death, especially Joanie, a very good friend of my sister, Salli Comport. I hope “BUNS” did not suffer but had a peaceful death with his most cherished family members beside him. You are all in my prayers. May Christ’s peace comfort you at this solemn time.
I am so sorry for your loss! I have fond memories of Buns. He did have a kind soul. One of the best memories I have of him was his catch for the win with seconds remaining on the clock against Wellsville! A great fight ensued afterwards. The Madonna faithful still talk about it to this day. RIP Buns. Suffer no more.
Joan and family, so very sorry for your loss. Prayers for you and your family.
Dear Joanie, Stevie, T.J. and Jared;

Prayers for Dan’s family and friends. Remembering the wonderful memories you made together will hopefully comfort you in time going forward. (MHS ’72)
