With deepest sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, and grandson, Gunner Lyle Poplowski, who left this world far too soon on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at his home.
Born on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2025, in Steubenville, Gunner was a beautiful and joyful baby boy who brought light and love into the lives of all who knew him. He was the cherished son of Ashley Poplowski and Corey Clark, and in his short time on Earth, he touched countless hearts with his infectious smile and radiant spirit.
Gunner was a happy baby who loved to be held and cuddled, sharing his warmth with everyone around him. His family will forever treasure the joy and excitement that lit up each room he entered. Especially close to Gunner was his big brother, Hunter, whose special bond with his little brother will always be remembered with tenderness and love.
Gunner’s loyal companion, his beloved Husky/Wolf mix, Denali, will miss him dearly.
Gunner was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather, Thomas Morris, paternal great-grandparents, Adolph and Inez Poplowski, Aunt Kayla Poplowski, and paternal great-grandmother Kathy Eychaner.
Though his time here was brief, Gunner’s presence will remain in the hearts of his family forever. He was, and always will be, deeply loved by his parents, Ashley Poplowski and Corey Clark; brother Hunter Poplowski; maternal grandparents William and Angela Poplowski, Sr.; maternal great-grandmother Cathy Morris; paternal grandparents David and Stacy Fideldy; Uncles Austin Morris and William Poplowski, Jr., Thomas Swanson, Zach Birch, and Aunts Ashley Fideldy, Star Fideldy, Jackie Swanson, and Corina Johnson, and many cousins.
Friends can visit Gunner’s family on Friday, April 4, from 1-2 pm at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219, Main Street, Weirton, WV. Where his funeral service will be celebrated at 2pm.
Pastor Danny Copeland will officiate.
Burial will follow immediately in Union Cemetery, Steubenville.
