SERVICES

We understand.

The responsibilities and decisions surrounding the death of a loved one require utmost sensitivity and personal attention. The staff at Greco-Hertnick is here to listen, guide and advise you through it all.

We take very seriously the trust you place in us to take care of your loved one, and it is our honor to assist you in creating a tribute that represents his or her life in a meaningful manner. The details can all seem overwhelming, but that is why our experienced team is here—to serve you with genuine care and commitment, and to do what we can to help ease your burdens.

Services Explained.

Below are some of the types of ceremonies that may be appropriate for your loved one. We will work with you to create a tribute as personalized as we can.

Viewing
This is an opportunity for family and friends to be with your loved one prior to burial or cremation. A viewing is most often held during one or two time periods at the funeral home, generally over two days to allow more guests time to travel and visit. Photos and quiet videos, along with a tailored music selection, can help create an atmosphere that speaks to the lifetime of your loved one.

Funeral
This traditional ceremony is usually held in the funeral home or a church, often with either an open or closed casket present. The ceremony may include a mass, blessing or celebration of life service, and is often conducted by a priest, minister or rabbi. Funerals may also be characterized by any significant affiliations or experiences of your loved one, such as military involvement. Our staff can assist you in ensuring the ceremony speaks to the life and values of your loved one.

Cremation Services
Cremation is an alternative to the body being buried in the ground or entombed in a mausoleum.  The majority of cremations are preceded by a viewing and funeral.  Some families choose no viewing and have a cremation with a memorial service held in our funeral home, a church or venue of their choice.  We also offer a direct cremation, where a family would choose no type of funeral or memorial service at all.

To learn more about these options, please contact us for a consultation. We’ll be happy to answer your questions.
